Taylor and Laura’s Fall Wedding at the Flying Caballos Ranch was an intimate family experience. I loved watching and photographing two families come together as one. It was a beautiful 3-day event that was full of fun, laughs, and adventure. What is really cool about this venue is you can rent out the entire farmhouse days before and days after the wedding. It takes a lot of stress away when you can set up for your wedding a day early and start celebrating immediately.
A little history about Flying Caballos Ranch, The Flying Caballos Ranch was originally owned by the Alfred Madonna family in the early 1900s. Encompassing several hundred acres, they operated the ranch as a dairy farm. The original farmhouse was built in 1905. The guesthouse and cottage were later built in 1952 to accommodate one of the sons and his family.
The Madonna family had their own garden, vineyard, and orchard. They hunted deer and fished for salmon, all on the ranch. Currently, the ranch consists of approximately 100 acres with horse and cattle grazing, a year-round creek, and unobstructed views of Edna Valley and Islay Hill.
The turn of the century farmhouse and property have been restored into a breathtaking vacation rental with four accommodation options that sleep up to 24 guests. The main 5-bedroom Farmhouse, 2-bedroom Guesthouse, Cozy Cottage Studio, and Water Tower Suite. The Flying Caballos Ranch is the perfect place for a central coast getaway with friends and family and also serves as an incredible wedding venue or to host your private celebration during your stay.
There are so many cool spots here for photos. Vintage style is my absolute favorite style to photograph so I fell in love with this place. There was so much space for everyone to roam about and intimate places to sit and check out the amazing views. The staff at Flying Caballos were amazing to work with and very accommodating. I highly recommend this location for any family reunion, wedding or event.
