Oh, how I love Montana de Oro. Just when I think I have explored it all someone tells me about a cool spot I haven’t been to before. I’m really surprised there isn’t a fee to get in with how special it is. Montana de Oro is perfect for portraits because you get so many different background spots. One minute you’re in a tree forest and the next you’re in a cool ocean cove. Katie and Tony choose this location because it is very special to their relationship and how it started. They are getting married in November and I can’t wait to capture their day. Tony is from the East Coast and they met on Instagram.
Engagement photos are a great way to get used to being photographed before the big day. It also helps get to know your photographer too since they will be capturing one of the most important moments of your life. As a photographer, I get to see the very best moments of a person’s life and see how their friends and family celebrate with them. There is never a dull moment being a wedding photographer. I’ve had wonderful experiences with people and have made friends along the way.
For your engagement photos, really think about the colors you are using. The bright pink dress Katie wore is perfect to stand out in the tree’s and gives the pictures a flirty feel. I’m happy to help with clothing options before the session and I always am excited about a clothing change during the session since it gives a different vibe to the pictures. You never want to match perfectly to your partner in clothing, but you do want to pick colors that compliment each other. I want my pictures to be timeless and romantic so clothing plays a big role. Not sure what to wear? Send me a message below and I’m happy to help.
